General Cherry Calls for Maintaining 100% Mobilization Deferments for Defense Industry Companies

Reducing the share of employees eligible for mobilization deferments would severely disrupt production planning, slow down our ability to scale, and jeopardize contract fulfillment. Deliveries of our equipment to the front lines would become slower and less reliable.

The equation is simple: No people, no equipment on the front lines.

Our production depends on engineers, technical specialists, and production line workers. Replacing them quickly without losing momentum is simply not possible.

Defense industry companies account for no more than 10% of all employees currently granted mobilization deferments in Ukraine. These are engineers, production specialists, equipment operators, assembly technicians, testing specialists, and repair personnel. Their work directly determines our military's ability to receive the equipment it needs.

Right now, we need clarity: which changes are final, how they will be implemented, and when they will take effect.

Our position is fully aligned with that of industry associations and other defense sector companies: defense manufacturers must retain the right to grant mobilization deferments to 100% of their workforce.
